Yaritza is a theatre maker and when the theatre industry shut down during the pandemic she created her business Yesterday's Present.

It began as an accident. Using whatever materials Yaritza had accumulated in her craft room over the years she created artwork and candles. The idea of reusing, recycling, and up-cycling was due to lack of access of resources while everything was shut down. Today it's a mission to be more environmentally conscious.

The teacup candles in particular were a fan favorite. What was supposed to be a fun craft turned into her main product. She has been making them ever since, improving her recipe with every batch.
